White Lace Flower.

Daniel and I have been getting everything ready for the baby's arrival. We are finally all set! Now just anxiously awaiting for her to decide it's time for her Earthside debut! I'm just two days away from being 38 weeks and doctor says it could be anytime now. Had a couple contractions so far and baby is in position! I'm so ready to do this. Pregnancy gets pretty rough at the end, especially in this miserable heat. Everything is swollen, everything hurts, there's no being comfortable, there's not much sleep....I'm just ready for the next chapter, being a Mama to this sweet little girl in my belly. I have been doing my best to feel put together and pretty. Thank god for lipstick, it really does the trick for me without really having to deal with makeup. I haven't really felt like putting much on between being this big and all the sweating in this heat. I'm wearing MAC's Russian Red.

Daniel has been spoiling me the last few months. He surprised me back in July with these funky clogs. I am betting they will look even better when my ankles aren't the size of an elephant's. HAHA. A couple days ago he busted out this great Marc Jacobs Crossbody bag. I have been wanting a small black bag with gold hardwear ever since Alexander Wang lost my Pelican Sling Bag. He sure does know how to make a girl feel special. It also gives me some stuff to look forward to wearing to leave the house. I don't want to become a total hermit after the baby gets here.

I can't believe I am so close to meeting this little one! I cannot express how badly I want to see her precious face and hold her tiny hand. She is measuring in the 50th percentile so she's perfectly average, not too big, not too small. And the doctor says she has long legs like her Daddy. I hope she comes out soon!

Ultraviolence.

Happy Friday!
Summertime, summertime, how I love and hate you. As you can tell from the title of this post I've been listening to some Lana Del Rey. I usually love the summer and make an effort to have many adventures during this time of year. But being pregnant really puts a damper on my summer dreams. A day at the beach is about all the adventure I can handle these days. Being as comfortable as possible is pretty much my priority at all times. I was lucky enough to score this super soft jersey dress from the Mara Hoffman sample sale a few weeks back. This dress is really loose and drapey and I even fit into my normal size small so I will be able to rock this in future summers when I'm not pregnant. I love the black background and bright colors of this print - it screams summertime. Just wearing it makes me feel like I am on vacation. I've had these Marc Jacobs patent leather sling backs for years. I can't believe that even after years of wear and tear they still look good as new. My straw hat, sunnies and punchy lips just finish the look. It's so easy and breezy but packs some punch and fun. This look definitely brightens my mood.
I'm 32 weeks today, only 8 more to go! Baby girl will be here before I know it. I'm getting sad about her not being in my belly anymore. It's so special feeling her moving around and sharing my vessel with her. But on the bright side I cannot wait to see what she looks like, hold her in my arms and kiss that sweet little face of hers about a million times. I also look forward to having a waist again. I have strangely been daydreaming about post-pregnancy workouts. Haha. I'm a very physical person and being weighed down like this is tiring. I love yoga and walking but I crave getting a good sweat on. I'm thinking of trying kickboxing or a hip-hop dance class. I just want to move.

Little Black Maternity Dress.

My apologies, it's been nearly a week since my last post, but I have finally been able to write! It's been hard to get my head in the game the last couple months. I think it's because there's a million and one changes happening to me, physically, mentally and emotionally. I've just been trying to process it all. I feel like I am starting to get a grip on the new me and all the things headed my way.  I just really want to be the best version of myself when I enter motherhood in September. I know I'm about to face a lot of challenges that I can't even fathom right now. Don't worry I am also trying to get in as much fun as a can while it's just Daniel and I. As you can see my second trimester is coming to an end, this is the last week, then it's third trimester time for me and baby girl.
Both of my sister-in-laws wore this black dress while they were pregnant and they sent it to me and insisted I keep up the tradition. I am so glad that they did, because this dress is amazing. It's really soft, comfortable and flattering. I wish it wasn't about to heat up to summer temperatures so I could keep wearing it. I love basic black, it's the perfect canvas for me to play around with my two obsessions: accessories and lipstick. I love these turquoise and gold earrings with a red lip, I can't get enough. I also love throwing my hair into these messy, milkmaid braids. It's so nice having my hair up when it's warm out and there's something so fun and whimsical about them that I just adore.
Happy Friday!!! Yay for the weekend!!!

Red. Red. Red.

Happy Friday Everyone!!!!!
I feel like I am getting more pregnant by the day haha. I am 24 weeks today!!! Only four more weeks until the third trimester!!!!! I am so excited it's the weekend. It's two of my favorite people's birthdays!!!! I love celebrating the people I love and am so thankful they are a part of my life. I seem to have a think for Geminis, not only are my mom and brother both Geminis but also a few of my closest friends. Funny how that works.
Well I am loving this Asos Maternity Dress. I ordered it back when I was in my first trimester and my bump is finally getting the right size for it. I really love the bright oxblood color. The modest cut of the dress makes me feel so motherly but the accessories make me feel very cool and hip. It's a nice balance. The shoes definitely play up the edge. It's weird becoming mother. It definitely makes me think more about what I wear and what message it's sending. It makes me want to make small adjustments to my style. Nothing too short or too low cut anymore. My love for sky high shoes is dwindling and my need for comfortable boots and sneakers is growing. I will still always have a place in my heart for heels but they are becoming more for special occasions and less for everyday. My achy feet just can't handle them anymore. And the last thing I want is damaged feet that will keep me from running and playing with my little one.
Overall I will say it feels good to grow and change and mature. And I am really enjoying discovering new facets in myself and parts of me that I have never known.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!!

Kozmic Blues.

Things have really been heating up this week. It feel like it's summer already. It has me longing for my summer playlists, and Janis Joplin is pretty much on every summer playlist I have ever made. I swear I was born in the wrong era. The 60s just speak to me. I adore the music from that time period. I am trying my best to stay cool in this blazing heat and good music definitely helps. So does a wide brim hat to keep me in the shade at all times, flowy frocks and cut-out boots. I already run hot normally, and being pregnant makes it much harder to cool down. I am really starting to look pregnant. You can see my belly is starting to pop. I can't believe I will be 20 weeks on Friday! That's already half way - 4.5 months exactly. Where does the time go?

I am hoping to make it to the beach in a day or two and let the tide rush over me. There's nothing like a dip in the chilly Pacific on a hot day.
I hope you're all staying cool out there.

What's cooler than being cool?
Ice cold! Haha.
Keep it ice cold people.

Baby Love.

OMG! We have the most exciting, special news to share! I am pregnant with a sweet, little bun in the oven!!! It has been killing Daniel and I to have to keep it a secret, but we wanted to make sure everything was good before we yelled it from the mountain tops. Our sweet baby is due to arrive in September! I am 13 weeks right now, and about to enter the second trimester. Time has just been flying by. Only 6 more months to go! So crazy! Well we are just over the moon with this wonderful news!

I am finally starting to feel like my usual self. Luckily I never really had any morning sickness, just some headaches and feeling extremely tired. I don't exactly have a real bump yet. It just looks like I went to town on some pizza or something. But I can't button my jeans anymore and even my usual leggings are starting to get a little uncomfortable. Most bumps pop out between 12-18 weeks, so I am sure you'll be able to tell soon.

This is why I haven't been posting many photos of myself on here lately. Being pregnant is pretty strange. I don't know how to describe it, it's just something you have to experience. You're whole body changes. I feel like I am in someone else's body. I've been feeling so tired, bloated and my skin was broken out for a while there, among other stuff. But everything is feeling much better, and I am finally getting used to it all. And now that the cat's out of the bag I can finally start sharing some of maternity stuff and my LITTLES pinterest board that I have keeping secret.

WE ARE JUST SO ECASTIC & DELIGHTED!!!!!

Walk in the Park.

My first post of the new year and I am already spending more time outdoors. I am still not feeling quite 100%. I hope that changes soon. I still managed to muster up some strength to have a nice picnic with Daniel in the park and a stroll through LACMA.
I have been eyeing these pants for months, agonizing over them. I didn't know how they would look on my 5'2" hourglass figure. The day after Christmas I noticed they were on sale - so I finally went for it. I am so glad I did. Not only do they fit well but they are super comfy. This outfit makes me feel like a chic, boho pirate. A little rough, a little glam, wrists full of bangles, I am ready for adventure.
Starting 2014 out like a badass.
