Mad for Plaid.

Today I'm officially one month from my due date. Only 4 weeks to go. I am getting so insanely anxious to welcome this little one into the world. It's getting a little rough at this point, being this pregnant and it being so hot. Airy dresses have become my go to. This dress is great, I just throw it on and it's so comfortable. I love the black and white ensemble with a red lip and some edgy accessories. My puffy feet only fit into a handful of my shoes. It's been so humid for LA and is making my hands and feet swell. I can't wear my wedding ring anymore. But my nails have never been so long and so strong. I did this nail design myself, I was inspired by one I saw on Refinery 29.

I am looking forward to fall. I can't wait to have my baby girl, a waist, to wear jeans and sweaters, Halloween (my fave)...I've been trying to decide what our sweet baby girl should be for her first Halloween, maybe get her a little hat with kitty ears! I can't wait to experience life through her eyes.
It's funny that now I'm looking forward to labor. At the beginning I was dreading this part and even in denial, but now I'm just ready. She's 6 lbs and 20 inches in there and I'm dying to see her little face, hold her and kiss her. She will be here so soon!!!!!! I'm counting down the days...

In Dreams.

Aaaand I'm back after a few weeks hiatus. I've just been plagued with headaches and went to Boston for a week. I am currently listening to Roy Orbison, hence the title of this post. I am in such a lovely mood today and excited to share the gender of this sweet babe in my belly...
It's a GIRL!!!!!!
I knew it. I've been extra girly lately and drawn to pink, which is highly unusual for me. Do you see these earrings I'm rocking? I didn't go overboard, the black, silk dress anchors the outfit and keeps it from being too loud and vibrant. It's the perfect canvas for this great, punchy bag from Zimman's. It's just screaming to be taken on a tropical vacation.
I adore the collaboration Dolce Vita did with Vanessa Mooney. All of the sandals are amazing. I was so tempted to get the black Atara Sandals, but ultimately chose the gold because that's what I needed.
I am so excited to start planning a baby shower. I'm 19 weeks now - next week I'll be half way through the pregnancy. Time is just flyyyying...it seems like it was just January and now it's almost May. September will be here before I know it and this sweet baby girl will enter the world. It's the most beautiful, exciting, amazing thing to have ever happened to me. Words just really don't do the feelings justice. Being pregnant in spring is simply magical. All these flowers blooming and little animals being born, I've never felt so much a part of it as I do now.

I will leave you with "In Dreams" lyrics by Roy Orbison, because baby girl I dream of you every night...

"In dreams I walk with you. In dreams I talk to you.
In dreams you're mine. All of the time, we're together...
in dreams...in dreams..."

Baby Love.

OMG! We have the most exciting, special news to share! I am pregnant with a sweet, little bun in the oven!!! It has been killing Daniel and I to have to keep it a secret, but we wanted to make sure everything was good before we yelled it from the mountain tops. Our sweet baby is due to arrive in September! I am 13 weeks right now, and about to enter the second trimester. Time has just been flying by. Only 6 more months to go! So crazy! Well we are just over the moon with this wonderful news!

I am finally starting to feel like my usual self. Luckily I never really had any morning sickness, just some headaches and feeling extremely tired. I don't exactly have a real bump yet. It just looks like I went to town on some pizza or something. But I can't button my jeans anymore and even my usual leggings are starting to get a little uncomfortable. Most bumps pop out between 12-18 weeks, so I am sure you'll be able to tell soon.

This is why I haven't been posting many photos of myself on here lately. Being pregnant is pretty strange. I don't know how to describe it, it's just something you have to experience. You're whole body changes. I feel like I am in someone else's body. I've been feeling so tired, bloated and my skin was broken out for a while there, among other stuff. But everything is feeling much better, and I am finally getting used to it all. And now that the cat's out of the bag I can finally start sharing some of maternity stuff and my LITTLES pinterest board that I have keeping secret.

WE ARE JUST SO ECASTIC & DELIGHTED!!!!!

Dreaming of Summer.

For some reason I have really been jonesing for a trip south of the border, down to Mexico. I have been craving bright, beach days and tacos. Hopefully I'll be soaking up the sun and swimming in the sea soon enough. As for tacos I've been eating them every chance I get.

Here's a look I can't wait to rock. It's perfect for summer adventures.

Le Parisian Grunge.

Parisian stripes? Check. Chic maxi? Check. Grungy beanie? Check.
I am feeling like France's underground scene today in this classic but edgy ensemble. I love this creamy, cozy outfit it's so comfortable, it's like wearing pajamas. This maxi skirt is actually a maxi dress, so there's a little a layering but it's very breathable(ideal for L.A.'s warm autumn). But, I still feel wonderfully autumn-ish. This outfit is so simple and basic but still manages to have a healthy dose of attitude thanks to the crimson lips and beanie.

His Girl Friday.

*Sigh* I just love Fridays. Who doesn't? It's the most relaxed of the weekdays, holding the promise of the weekend, staying up late tonight and sleeping in tomorrow. This is a pretty perfect outfit for today except the beanie will have to come off between the hours of 12 and 2. I love when I leave my hair in a bun overnight and it actually has body and waves the next day. Although we will see how long it lasts. Anyways, I swear any given day I am wearing at least one Free People item. Today is no exception with this Free People ONE Golden Age Top. I originally got for my honeymoon in Greece back in June but it transitions seamlessly into fall.  I kinda want another one in Midnight or Washed Black. I can't help myself with dark colors.
Anyways...HAPPY FRIDAY!
