Pure Heroine.

I'm feeling electric in this look. I found this dress at Urban Outfitters on sale for $10! I have been feeling so huge, awkward, bloated and hot lately and it's nice to have little dresses to just throw on. I love the open back and print. The black and white tie dye makes me think of an electrical storm, it's like this dress can shoot lighting. I paired it with MAC X Lorde's lipstick collaboration - "Pure Heroine" - its such a moody, fun purple. I love that it's just purple enough to make me feel edgy but not so dark that it gives off a goth vibe. It also matches my gel mani.
I'm nearly eight months pregnant and my body is just retaining water like it's my job. My legs, arms and hands are all so puffy all the time, no matter how much water I guzzle. It makes me feel pretty crappy about how I look. And even harder to get dressed. And sleep is something I wish for as I toss around every night, wishing I could get comfortable. August is going to be rough for me, I am bracing myself. Between the heat, aches and pains and sleepless nights - I'm really going to have to try to stay positive. Come September I will be ready for this little baby girl to enter the world.
I keep reminding myself it's all just temporary.

Magic Gypsy Pants.

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!!!!
I am loving, what I have dubbed, my weekend pants. Although I can often be found wearing them on weekday evenings binge watching The Wire. They just make me feel like it's the weekend whenever I wear them. I found them at Urban - they are perfect for my expanding waistline. They are the softest, comfiest pants I have ever owned. I might even get a second pair in another color. I have a feeling they'll look even cuter come July when I am 7 months preggo, paired with a fitted black tank. I found this top in Greece on my honeymoon. I love finding unique pieces when I travel, not only do they remind me of such fond memories when I wear them, but I know that I won't have to worry about anyone else wearing the same thing. The open back on this shirt makes it so breezy on scorching hot days too. I've missed these brown suede platforms by Cooperative. I hadn't worn them in ages. I probably won't wear them much now either. My center of gravity is shifting and my balance isn't as good as it usually is. But I just love the 70's vibe they have. I have been obsessed with these Toms Lobamba sunnies - I have been wearing them everyday.
I am officially half way through my pregnancy - I'm exactly 20 weeks today!!!!!
That baby bump is definitely popping! And I've been feeling baby girl moving around in there. I am pretty sure she already takes after her Mama bc I swear she loves doing somersaults in there and I can already tell this girl is night owl. She starts her dance party as the sun starts to set.
Well I hope everyone has a lovely weekend! I  plan to escape to the beach tomorrow. It has just been so HOT here - like August level of heat! I need to get in that cool Pacific ocean....
