Valentine's Day Essentials.

I know Valentine's Day isn't for another two weeks, but I am really looking forward to my first one as a wife. We will sip bubbly from the champagne flutes from our wedding and reminisce about all of our adventures together. And nothing says romance like scented candles, fresh peonies and Pablo Neruda's Love Poems. I am not one to sport a bold red dress, but I opt for a couple red touches. I love red lips. I'm thinking of wearing my red Christian Louboutin heels and maybe something hidden, like a red lacy bra. I love this black and white floral dress from TopShop. It's the perfect canvas for pops of red. And of course the look wouldn't be complete without some dreamy braids and charming gold jewels.

Casual Cool.

Life has been going full speed ahead lately. This has been my go to weekend look. It's so effortless and comfy. I go through phases where I live in Daniel's shirts. Which as you can tell from the photos, I am deep into one of those phases. This is one of my favorite of his shirts. He got this one from the Gap a couple years ago. I love the color and the plaid and it's just the right amount worn in. It's super soft and light and layers so well. Although it has been more like summer than winter here lately, but a girl can dream of layering. I have also been obsessed with my Modern Vice Frankie booties. I have been wearing them literally everyday. I love the detailing on them, especially the buckle. It adds a bit of a feminine touch to my otherwise very tomboy look. And they are super comfortable. I've already put some serious miles on them. The slouchy beanie is so easy to throw on. I have been super lazy about fixing my hair lately, and opting to just throw on a hat instead. I just love this low key weekend look. It's great for brunch, the farmer's market, the flea market, running errands or just general meandering.

Happy Friday!

Love is Real: Wedding Snippets.

Our wedding was unimaginably breathtaking and gorgeous. I wish I could re-live it over and over again. There were flowers everywhere. We had our friends' jazz band play during cocktail hour and vinyl spinning all night long. Candles and twinkling lights were in every nook and cranny. The atmosphere was out of a dream. Daniel and I worked super hard planning the entire thing ourselves and it just beyond paid off. Everyone was dancing and laughing and it was just really amazing.
People wrote us sweet notes on our typewriter, there were bubbles and sparkles, an amazing moon photo booth complete with fun props like fur wraps, mustaches and a cape. It was just so much fun! And I have never felt so much love in my life. Magic was most definitely in the air...
